On my way to work....
On my way to work this evening, the wind was blowing, the roads snow and ice packed, and me white knuckled..... I guess I am lucky that I only had to drive 13 miles going 25 miles an hour verses 50 miles as one of the evening employees did on her way home. I do really wish I could have been one of the people that got to watch it from the comforts of their homes. Ahh, the evils of health care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
I didn't see too many accidents, but there are many schools 2 hours late. I will be hoping for Brian to be at least 2 hours late, as I know he was checking the TV every time the B's came around!
Safe driving to all!

More information on layoffs
I have some more information on the layoffs at North Memorial that I would like to share with you. Many of them are non-patient care, but some are nurses. North Memorial had an employee fitness center that was staffed by 3 personal trainers for 12 hours a day. That will no longer be staffed. One of the food areas (there were 2) is reducing the hours that it is open. Housekeeping and some of the nurses are being let go. This is by no means an all inclusive list, this is just what I have heard.
Some of the reasons that patient care should be affected minimally is that our census is down. People can't afford elective surgeries or to be sick.... they are just avoiding hospitals at all costs. Our total loss for people that could not pay their bills or their co-pays used to be 1 million a year. In the recent months it is 1 million a month...... 12 times higher. Hard to imagine.
As for my status: I have 4 people under me. If we were to go through another round of cutoffs and the lab was affected, it would have to be pretty deep to hit me. On the other hand, it could happen that I would have to switch shifts. I would not enjoy that, but at least I would have a job. We currently have 10 open positions in the lab in which they are not allowing us to hire. Right now we are pretty busy as we are short staffed. The lab also has measurable productivity. It works in our favor.
Hopefully that clears up some of the questions that have been posted.

First round of pink slips....
I don't know if any of you saw the news last night. North Memorial is laying off 380 positions. I luckily have survived.... no one in the lab has been cut. We have been working short staffed for so long, that we really couldn't afford to lose anyone. I feel so bad for all of the people that are being cut. It especially seems like a bad time of the year.
I'm just hoping that there isn't a second round of cuts, who knows if the lab will be as lucky next time.........

Bioterrorism Workshop at Minnesota Department of Health
As most of you know, I work in a hospital lab and have recently started training in microbiology there. This past Thursday, I was given the opportunity to go the Minnesota Department of Health Laboratory and learn about the major agents of bioterrorism. We had lectures and lab on such known organisms as anthrax (Bacillus anthrasis), and black plague (Yersinia pestis), as well as the lesser publicly known agents such as tularemia (Francisella tularensis), and glanders (Burkholderia mallei).
We had lectures on the history of bioterrorism. Without being called as such, the settlers of the New World could have possibly used germ warfare towards the Native Americans by giving them smallpox infested blankets. This is debated among historians, but it is certainly plausible.
In the lab portion, we looked at organisms that had the same biochemical properties as these bioterroristic agents and had to decide if we would send it the Department of Health Laboratories for furthur workup and confirmation. As hospital medical technologists, we are most likely the first ones to see these bugs as people are admitted to the hospital. In the anthrax attacks of September 2001, one of the reports was made by a microbiolist from a hospital. It was a good reminder to remember to look for the zebras in a pack of horses that we see every day.
As an added bonus, channel 5 just happened to be filming a segment on the likliness of bioterrorism and I happened to be in the segment, although breifly.

Sick Day
I have officially gotten my first of what I hope is not a winter full of sick days. On Tuesday I had a pretty scratchy throat and on Wednesday it turned into a very sore throat. I still do not have the cold that typically goes along with the sore throat, but I am just waiting for it to rear it's ugly head. Since I wasn't feeling that bad physically, I just couldn't talk (a joyous day for Brian, might I add), I decided to get a bunch of stuff done in the afternoon because I was sick of lying in bed. First I decided to go through all of our paperwork and file it more efficiently.
As you can see, it got messier before it got better. It still isn't in perfect shape, but I am working on the rest tonight.I got some more knitting done:

Voting and band-aids
Voting: The lines were long which I think is evidence of how important the election is. I was glad to see the turnout. The line for people registering was also respectable... yeah new voters (or people that have moved)!
Band aids: I can proudly say that I did not faint after getting a flu shot and a mantoux test in the same arm within 2 minutes of each other. Another milestone accomplished.
On my way home from voting, I decided to get my car washed. I suddenly remembered why I haven't done it for 2 years. If there would have been a picture of me, I probably would have looked like my youngest nephew at his first car wash, a bit scared. I had to drive in and then at a designated point put my car in nuetral and take my foot off of the brake. I couldn't see a darned thing for about 5 minutes.
As a treat after my very productive and brave day, I decided to get a mushroom and black olive pizza from Papa Murphy's take-n-bake and am going to have a beer!

A weeks worth of Activities....
I realize that I haven't posted in a while, so here are a few pictures documenting our week.
1.Guess the body part.......
This is my leg after I, yes I said I, slammed it in my car door.

That is our week in a nutshell.
Tonight I have to go to work at 11:15 pm. Thanks to daylight savings time, I have to be awake to repeat my 2am hour. This is the first time in my life that I dislike the "fall back" phenomenon. I will just have to get through it by thinking about all the energy that we save by having daylight savings time.

Tomorrow we get to clean out all of our gutters
4. Making eyeball cookie salad. Don't worry, the one in my mouth did not go in the salad.

5. Relaxing eating the leftover candy that the kids didn't collect!

Brian's quote.......
As we make dinner tonight:
I informed Brian that the cornbread wouldn't be done at the same time as the Lemon Garlic Tilapia.
Brian: "I don't know why you insist on having these meals all timed out.... It's not like we're on Iron Chef or anything."

Things I've learned in the past week......
1. After you are done painting, clean up the mess immediately. Do NOT put the dirty painting supplies in the laundry sink and start the washer. One of the containers could, by chance, be blocking the drain. The end result is a soapy, paint tinted flood in the laundry room!
2. When cleaning the bathroom, it is a good idea to use the water from previous floor washings to reduce the water in the toilet....... but...... make sure you take the rag out of the bucket before you dump the water. The rag might just get sucked into the toilet. With any luck, the rag will pass right through to the sewer and not get stuck in any pipes.
3. Do not put BBQ sauce in the crockpot for 12 hours. Even if the last 4 are on warm.... it takes a week to get it clean.
4. Don't ask your husband if you have done anything else dumb in the last week..... he might just answer you!
Yes, it has been a very unlucky week. Nothing that could not be cleaned or fixed though :)

A fun weekend and sushi
This past weekend, my sister came to visit me, we had our monthly girls night, and I made sushi. It started on Saturday morning. I cleaned a bit as that had been lacking with the overtime that I have been putting in. Saturday late afternoon, my sister got to my house and we went to Stillwater to go on a boat ride. There were 7 of us girls in all and there was a wonderful buffet on the boat and we cruised on the river for a couple of hours. We then went to a local bar and had some wine.
The next day I made a new recipe, a vegetable frittata, went to church, primed the bathroom, and Stacy and I made sushi. This was my first time, but Stacy had made it before.

We cooked the rice and cut up the avacado, cucumber, crab meat, and smoked salmon. The local grocery store didn't have sushi grade fish and since it isn't recommended to just cut up a random hunk of fish, we stuck with smoked fish. At the state fair I had purchased this crazy guy's forms for sushi. They worked quite well. We made some heart and square shapes this time. He also gave me a crazy headband. I really don't know what it says.... It could say "I'm an idiot" for all I know. We then had a good time eating the sushi. Brian enjoyed it too. He didn't really like the large heart variety as well as the little square shaped ones. I would say I agree as I like my sushi bite sized.

Around the House
I just thought that I would share a few photos of things we are doing around the house.
We removed some towel holders that were stuck to our bathroom walls. They are supposed to go on tile so it ended up taking some of the well with it. The next thing on the list was to spackle. The really cool thing is that there is a type of spackle that is pink and when it dries it turns white... dummy proof. Just how I like it! I have also primed the bathroom walls and painting is tomorrow's endeavor.
I painted our bedroom walls. They were a grey/blue color and since our furniture and accessories are burnt orange and brown, it didn't match very well. I painted the walls a brown color called "Gobi Desert". It turned out pretty well for my first time painting.
Finally, Brian has had to mow the lawn. With Volleyball in the way, we don't mow as often as we'd like. The neighbors haven't complained yet and ours isn't by any means the longest in the neighborhood. Grandpa's lawn mower has come in handy. It works well and Brian has been taking pride in keeping things looking good.

By the way..... I still haven't found the cable that connects my camera to the computer. I had to go and buy a new one :) Good thing they are not too expensive!

Speeding Ticket.....
Well my 3 years are up since I last got my speeding ticket. I was destined to get one sooner or later. I was driving down 169 laughing at the talk radio station that I listen to and whoops there is an unmarked cop car sitting there waiting for me. I had no idea how fast I was driving. He told me 71 in a 55. I totally deserved the ticket. It was cheaper than my last one 3 year ago (different county).
As my punishment for myself, I had to work extra to pay the speeding ticket. So Thursday I worked from 6:30 AM to 11:45 PM. I am also going in on Monday morning at 4:00AM and working until 3:30 pm. That should give me enough money to pay for it and a bit of punishment for my feet since we are on our feet all day.
I really need to learn to set my cruise more often.

Delusional car.....
My car seems to have a mind of it's own. The reason that it didn't work is this: It thought that I was trying to steal it. Strange since I own it. It turns out that the security system that was built into the car was activated which means that it woouldn't turn over. I ended up getting it towed and then the auto repair place was able to diagnose it. It turns out they reset the security system and they advised me it it happens again relatively soon that I will have to replace a part in the security system that costs around $250. Luckily a week later and I have not had that issue again. On the chance that I will jinx myself... problem solved!

Car troubles...
So it's 0718 in the morning..... you might be thinking; why isn't Heidi at work? Well, I am all showered and in my scrubs but the funny thing is, I can't get there. When I went to start my car at 0615 this morning, it didn't turn over. The lights and radio are working fine, but they don't really do me any good when the car doesn't actually move. In my haste and panic, I thought it was the battery and since Brian had just left 5 minutes earlier, I called him to come back and help me. After pushing my car out of the garage so that we could hook the jumper cables up to it, he realized that I had been incorrect and it was probably my starter. So I have already made Brian late for work, but here I sit waiting for the garage to call me back to see if they can get me in. That brings me to another question. Why don't garages open at 0600? I would think that they would like to get off earlier and when people have issues in the morning, isn't it really early?
Wish me luck, I think that I am going to need it :)

Pictures.....
Well I have many things to show you pictures of.... but.... you don't get to see them yet. I seem to have misplaced the cable that downloads my pictures onto the computer during the move.
Hopefully more soon!

Our departed little furry friends...
In hopes that you won't think that we are disgusting pigs, I want to share a picture with you....
These are almonds that went missing from the counter awhile back. As you can see by the indentations in the carpet, there was a piece of furniture there, a bookcase to be exact. So I am guilty of not always moving all of the furniture when vacuuming. But really who does?
So back to our furry friends. Our previous dwelling was a quad home. Our neighbor directly next to us up and moved out one week. That next weekend we just happened to be gone. Prior to that weekend we had always stored food on the counter, due to lack of storage, with no adverse consequences. When we got back, I noticed that the almonds that had been in a plastic bag were gone and there was a hole chewed in it. Needless to say we figured we had been infested with mice. We proceeded to catch 13 mice over the next week, sometimes multiple in a day. I think that we eventually caught them all and now months later....

WE FOUND THE MISSING ALMONDS!
The Move....
I know that it has been a long time since I posted.... no excuses but I'll let you in on why. First of all, I'm sure that you will all be as happy as I am that I passed my boards for Medical Technology. I am now certified. Yea for me!
Secondly and hence the title of the post, we have moved into our first house! The inspection, loan, and closing all went very smoothly. The previous owner was very meticulous and kept the house spotless! We were very impressed. He even left a bottle of champagne for us for when we moved in.

We closed on a Friday, played in a volleyball tournament on Saturday and moved on Sunday. It was a jam packed weekend, but we had a great time. I know what you are thinking..... you played in a volleyball tournament the day before you moved? Yep we did, that is how we got our moving help. Our friends Kim and Dan told us that if we played in the tourney that they would help us move. Dan is a cabinet maker and had a large truck. It only took 2 trips and we were moved. Unfortunately I was not really thinking about taking pictures during the move so I don't have any of the actual process, but here are some staged ones, and of course the aftermath.

I wish that I could say that the boxes have disappeared, but alas they have not. We are still working on the process that seems to be taking forever. I will try and keep you updated!

further reflection...... and a kudos to my husband!
Sorry about the length of the last post. It felt pretty good to just write about it. I know it got lengthy :) So after a good nights sleep, a meal, and an hour to reflect on the big picture, I am much more at peace with my evening. I am now able to focus on the big picture and not just how it affected me. I know the last post sounded a bit selfish, and at the time of writing it I could only really think about how I wanted to be done with it and go home to my nice little bubble. So I guess a sorry is in order for my ranting.
Now on to the kudos to my husband. Brian, for quite some time now, has been doing all of the grocery shopping and dishes. He says he does it so he doesn't have to put up with me being crabby (I kind of understand his rationale as I am not a happy camper after I grocery shop). This afternoon when I got up, the kitchen had magically become restocked! I guess I just wanted to give him a public thanks for all of the grocery shopping that he does :)

A particularly bad night at work......
So here it is, almost 8 in the morning and I sit exhausted after a very busy night at work. I have been up for almost 24 hours and I can't even think of sleep at this point. It was one of those nights that I have heard about from the other overnighters. I had not, up until now, had one of these dreaded nights. It was a night of firsts (and hopefully, but doubtfully) a night of lasts.
I guess a little background is in order. I work every other weekend at a local hospital in the lab. I like it in the lab. I really don't have to see the human/emotional side of the hospital setting except when I draw blood. Now this is a task I detest. I have to do it on the floors about 2.5/5 days a week and on my overnight weekends I draw from 4am to 6am in the ER. I'm getting to the point where I don't really mind drawing on the floors as there really isn't anything too unexpected. The ER however is a completely different story. The ER really is set up into a variety of areas and I will give you a general layout so you can get a mental picture of how this all works. The 3 main areas that I visit are as follows: The stabilization rooms (stab 1, 2, 3, and 4) These are the areas that the most critical patients visit. Car accidents, motorcycle accidents, heart attacks. gun shot wounds etc. The lockdown rooms: These are for vulnerable adults, mentally unstable and pretty much anybody they want to be locked in a room. The normal ER rooms: These are for patients with the normal ailments.
Tonight we had a particular high number of traumas. We had 6 people in the stab rooms at different times. Most were car accidents, one was an unresponsive adult..... Sometimes these car accidents involve people that are doing illegal things... driving drunk for instance.
That was how an OK night went south.... really fast. The sheriff decided that this one kid involved in a motor vehicle accident had been drinking. For court purposes they cannot use a medical blood alcohol. They need what is called a legal blood alcohol. It involves a lengthy amount of paperwork and a chain of custody for the samples to ensure that they are not tampered with. Needless to say I have only seen one of these done and it was my turn to go to the stab rooms to do this. I had already seen his medical alcohol level and it was well over the .08 level that is acceptable for someone over 21 to have. I go in to draw his blood and he is a bloody mess. His eyes are glassed over and his ear is barely attached. I get the tubes of blood I need and go out back to the officer and start filling out the paperwork. Well, I had gotten through the actual taking of the blood, but I had gotten myself so worked up in the process (I do have a tendency to get lightheaded and dizzy often) that I could feel myself starting to get hot and sweaty which is usually the first sign of me passing out. I heeded the warning sign and while the sheriff was filling out some paperwork, I went and sat on a chair and put my head between my knees. I felt better and then continued filling out the paperwork with the officer. When it was all done, I again started see the black come into my periphereal vision- another sign of my impending collapse. I hurry and rush to that same chair and again, head between my knees. After I feel as though I can make it back to the lab, I do so. I do have to say the nurses in the ER are very nice as many of them asked if I was going to be OK. Upon arrival back into the lab, the shift supervisor immediately sent me on break- I must have looked as bad as I felt ( she said I looked like a ghost). So I made it through that first: A very bloody car accident that I have to do a legal blood alcohol on. Let's just hope that I don't receive a summons to go to court for this one.
Right after my break I hear 2 overhead pages one is a trauma team and the other is a heart team. I am supposed to be drawing these 2 patients as fast as I can as their life depends on lab results some times. Luckily again, the nurses are all about patient care and draw both of the patients and I take them back to the lab. I never really saw one of the patients, but the second patient was looking a bit dull in color. I needed to go back and get some orders and I hear the dreaded CPR on Stab 4. It was one of the patients......the one that I needed orders on. I go into the room and one of the doctors is up on the bed, doing chest compressions. It was like a "train wreck" and I couldn't take my eyes off of the doctor. I normally am not a gawker when it comes to car accidents and other things on the side of the road. There was something surreal about the whole situation. I left to go attend to something else but ended up back in the room just as they called the time of death. That was my next first: I saw my first death. I know I didn't know the person but something really got to me. I tried not to think about the family of the person or really anything at all. I just returned to the lab and continued my work.... it had to get done. It got me thinking..... I'm really glad that I don't see that everyday. I don't know if I would be able to take it.
It also made me really glad that I didn't take over in the ER at 3:30AM as there was another car accident, this one was much worse than the legal alcohol I drew. I know that there was a fatality at the scene and the patient that was in the hospital was not going to be keeping all of the limbs the the evening started with. This particular patient didn't have an identity for the first couple of hours in the hospital.
Even though I am not an extremely religious person at this point in my life, today I will be going to mass. I need to thank a certain someone for all the good things in my life and even the bad things that have made me appreciate the good things to a greater extent...........

Offer accepted
After looking at over 40 houses, last night we put in an offer and this morning it was accepted. The house is a modified two story in the suburb directly north of MG with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I have included some pictures. We are tentatively set up for inspection on Wednesday at 10AM granted I can get off of work the second possible time is Monday at 6pm. So keep your fingers crossed for us!

1/2 credit
After reading the blog, Brian said that he should have 2.5/5 as he got the year that I was born correct. I told him it was my policy not to give 1/2 credit :) Especially on such an easy question!
I guess it really doesn't matter anyway... 50%.... still failing!

Curriculum workshops and Fishing licenses
Here we are, another summer. This is the time I rethink my career choice every year as Brian sleeps in and sits on the couch watching TV. I guess this year he has managed to accomplish some things since being done with school at noon on the 2nd. He did attend a "curriculum workshop" at a coworkers lake cabin June 2nd through the 4th. Apparently they learned a lot about worm, leech and fish anatomy. They also learned the effects on the nose and eyes when a fireplace is not ventilated properly and studied a little bit about how the liver filters alcohol. The funny thing is that none of the teachers teach biology, anatomy or health.
After last year at this same "curriculum workshop", Brian knows a little bit about filleting a fish. The one difference between this year and last year is that he did get a couple fishing license rather than a single one like last year. I think that this change in decision making stems from the flack that he received from all of our friends when I ratted him out. Now, I'll just remind you that we had been dating for almost 7 years before we got married 2 years ago. I figured this would be plenty of time for Brian to get acquainted with me to the point in which he could accurately get me a fishing license.
The following info is required to get a fishing license:
1. Height
2. Weight
3. Name
4. Birthdate
5. Eye color
When I looked at my fishing license, Brian had 2 of the 5 right. Now, I'm not a teacher, but from my experience as a student, I'm pretty sure that is failing........
Here is what is on my current license:
1. Height 5'9'': I am barely 5'7''.
2. Weight 150: I'm not going to say what I weigh, but let's say he guessed a little off
3. Name Heidi Gluth: He thankfully did get that one right as I don't know that it would be valid with that info incorrect.
4. Birthdate October 11: I was officially born November 12.
5. Eye color: Brown- this rounds out his score of 2/5.
Don't get me wrong, I am thankful that he got me a license, I just had a good laugh and hope that you do too.

Snow on May 31st?
Ok, so not really snow, but it sure looked like it! At about 5:30PM the sirens started blaring in MG. At that time it was bright and sunny. By 6:15, outside painted a whole different picture.
We went to our basement laundry room right after this picture was taken, as I was afraid that the hail was going to break some windows. In about 15 minutes the hail was done, and the sun returned. The hail remained on the street and roofs and looked like we had just had a snow storm. I know there were some traffic accidents from low road visibility. We are just lucky that there was not a tornado as we were in a warning due to some funnel clouds that were spotted.
Here are some more pictures:

The roofs on the houses in the picture are normally black. The hail was that thick 15 minutes after the storm had gone through. And finally here is a picture of Brian enjoying the view!

Houses
So, we've been quite busy these past few weeks. I have been putting in about 10 hours of overtime a week to pay for closing costs and escrow funds, and we also started playing sand volleyball Monday nights and Wednesday nights. Besides our normal routines, we have also been house hunting 3 times now. There are quite a few houses in our price range but they really range in quality depending on where we are looking. MG has older houses that need a lot of updating. The further we move out, the nicer the houses get in our price range.
MG house that we are interested in: It is a 4-level split with 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 bedroom downstairs. It would need new flooring in dining room (pictured) and lots of new light fixtures which we could get with time.

Then there is a house in a suburb that if further out: 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 bedroom downstairs, 3 bathrooms including a huge master suite.

There are some of the pictures. I am still organizing some of the others. Hopefully we will post some more soon. Does anyone have an opinion regarding 3 bedrooms upstairs versus 2 bedrooms upstairs in terms of being on the same floor as the kids?

Mortgage hunting
We have officially started the long exhausting process of buying a home. After meeting with two mortgage representatives, we are now starting to meet with realtors. We have, of course, been approved for way more money than we can afford but now know the price range for a monthly payment we can manage. The first mortgage rep we met with was very unprofessional, unorganized, and almost seemed chauvinistic. He didn't even feel it necessary to bring his computer or a calculator with him to our meeting. How he expected to have even a semblance of a meeting, I don't know. We spent the better part of the meeting trying to unravel his cryptic monologues and tangents. We also watched him trying to calculate things in his head, needless to say Brian was giving him the answers to his math problems. He also spent most of the meeting avoiding eye contact with me and spoke mostly to Brian. You can imagine, he didn't last long as a candidate in my mind!
The second mortgage rep we met with was the first rep's polar opposite. She was very professional, answered all of our questions with patience and gave us a variety of scenarios to work with. I was very impressed. Needless to say, she is our rep of choice!

When we start to look at houses, I am going to post some pictures and ask for opinions... we can play a sort of "House Hunters" game like the TV show that is on cable. In the meantime, I would appreciate any feedback on things you all have learned you need/want/hate about your house or any previous houses. It will make us aware of things to think about that we may not have thought of.

I am so smrt

Ever since Christmas, Brian has a new favorite pair of pants. He wears them long after they need to be washed and he is usually pulling them out of the dryer as soon as they are dry. When I first met him, I never thought that I would see him in anything other than jeans and wind pants. Now I don't think he owns a pair of jeans that aren't for jobs on the farm, and his favorite pair of pants are soft pajama pants. What a change!Tuesday, April 15, 2008
Volleyball
We've now had 2 Mondays of sand volleyball..... yes, you've read correctly- sand volleyball. This week was pretty nice for weather, but last week... burrrr! Brian and I bought these special sand socks to keep our feet warm against the sand. So far it seems to be working quite well. Even though it was only 40 degrees the first week, our feet were pretty toasty. Our hands and faces were another story. Yesterday was a nice 55 degrees but it was pretty windy. If you look carefully you can still see snow in this one!
I didn't realize how hard it was to take action shots on a camera when the battery is dying. Here is one of me passing... no comments on the form- I know bend my knees further, and Brian hitting.

Glorious smells

There is something amazing and awe inspiring about the first "spring" shower. Today as I was relaxing and cleaning at home, the sky turned dark for a brief moment and it started pouring. I could hear the school children giggling and screaming and some passersby laughing as they picked up the pace to try and minimize the drenching. Then as abruptly as it came, the clouds dissipated and the sun returned. All that remained were wet streets and the amazing smell of rain. That wonderful earthy smell that makes me think of night crawlers on the sidewalk. It reminds me that the "dormant" season of winter is over and makes me excited that the beautiful colors of spring will soon return. I'm going to keep my eye out for that rainbow and look forward to my other favorite smell, freshly cut grass.

Life in the ER
So, I've determined that the ER at my current place of employment is nothing like Gray's Anatomy, although there are a few cute doctors. Last Wednesday and Thursday I had my 2 dreaded days of drawing patients in the ER. Just a reminder (as if you need one on this subject), I hate drawing blood, but combining that with having to draw it fast and having to compete with all the other departments needing that patients time, it really wasn't a fun time at all. I didn't even have to draw the gun shot that came in at 10 AM. Really people, who decides to shoot someone, let alone at 10 in the morning- get a hobby!
Wish me luck this week as I am getting trained for my overnight weekends by working 2315 to 0715 this week. I've already apologized to Brian for my upcoming week of crabbiness :)
