Lindsey is walking all over the place now! She loves playing hide and seek, cuddling with Violet and her other animals, getting chased, and being tickled. Pureed food is a thing of the past and she only wants to feed herself now. Her faves are black beans, bananas, and broccoli. She loves being outside and going down the slide at the park. She also likes to try and eat the little helicopter seeds from our maple trees. She likes jogging with Daddy in the jogging stroller, but still has to get used to her bike helmet in the burley. We don't take her on long bike rides yet.
Courtney just finished her year of gymnastics. She loves it! Yesterday was the end of year showcase, and she was jumping, flipping, and climbing all over. We are taking the summer off but will resume in the fall. Courtney also loves being outside and especially swimming, playing in the water table and riding in the wagon. She loves both going for bike rides and jogs. Her favorite bedtime snack is sharing oatmeal with Daddy.
Brian has 3 days of school left and then will get to enjoy being home with the girls this summer. He is going to be playing volleyball twice a week and will also keep busy with all of our summer projects. We are constructing a small retaining wall in the backyard to make a vegetable garden, we just purchased new deck material so that Brian can redo our deck this summer, and we will be getting a few new windows. Nana was here not to long ago and helped us plant our flower garden in the front. Courtney loves watering the flowers.
As for me, not too much going on. I started running a few months back and at the beginning of May did a 5K called "Run or Dye". It was a fun mess! I am also training for my first sprint triathlon at the end of August. If you want to come and cheer me on it is in Maple Grove on August 24th. I have taken on some extra responsibility at work. I am a key operator for one of our new instruments that tests for HPV, Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea. I will be going to Indianapolis for a few days in July for training. I have also taken over a section of our point of care testing for the Emergency department, and Labor and Delivery. I am muddling through and trying to figure out what and when I need to do things :) It is a work in progress!
We are planning on taking a few long weekends for vacations. We will be going to Lake Ida, Lake Nord, Wisconsin Dells, and to the Brown County fair in New Ulm. With my monthly updates, I will post pictures of our adventures!
