Strawberry picking

This morning we decided to go to Bauer Berry Farm and pick our own strawberries.  We haven't done this before and know that our relatives on the other side of the world do this and love it, so we thought we would give it a try.  There is only a week left of strawberry picking at the farm, so today was perfect as we are all three home.  I don't know why I thought that I would enjoy crawling around being 39 weeks pregnant, but it wasn't so bad.  I think I will make a strawberry rhubarb pie today.

Interim Bathtub

Happy Easter!

I hope that all of you are enjoying time with family and friends during the Easter season. I had/have to work this weekend, but still got to do some fun Easter crafts with Courtney. Brian is enjoying his laid back long weekend and I'm sure is looking forward to getting Courtney dressed in her dress for Church tomorrow! Here are some of the wonderful things we did the last 2 days.

Easter Bunny Craft: At first, just the ears were supposed to be with cotton balls, but the glue was by far her favorite part so he got furrier!

Rice Krispy Nests:

Courtney loved stirring and more importantly eating the marshmallows.

I didn't quite catch her before she did this........ It came right back out of her mouth!

Coloring Eggs:
I discovered the idea of coloring the eggs in a muffin tin from pinterest. It worked very well and we only cracked one egg, and that was when Courtney decided that one of the eggs needed to come out.

Move over scrapbook room.....

I finally got my scrapbook room moved to the basement and Courtney now has her playroom! I know it will only look like this once, so I took a picture to document the cleanliness! Now I get to find fun things to put on the walls. I have some great ideas from my new obsession Pinterest. (Yes, I said obsession Ms. Science Teacher!).

Our family had a great day on Saturday. It is a rare occasion that we are all 3 home for an entire day. We spent lots of time together and here is some video of things we did!

I didn't take any video of the laundry we did. Courtney is great at sorting laundry and putting it into the wash machine.

18 month update-for real this time

So I was attempting to update the blog on an ipad. Well, that doesn't work so well. I can't get it to actually type letters in the body of the blog. Oh well, back to the desktop :) I guess now that Courtney is 19 months I should get her 18 month update on here. I am sorry I have been so bad at blogging. Here is to a fresh start!

We had Courtney's 18 month appointment at the beginning of January and the Doctor said everything looks good! Here are her stats:
Height: 33 1/2" 95%
Weight: 24# 7oz 50%
And... her head is still large 90-95% :)

She is keeping us busy and loves her books, babies, puzzles, Dora and Little Einsteins. I think when Nana or Grandma and Grandpa are here, they read at least 2 dozen books a day.
