Bath time

Grandma got me a new bath tub for Christmas and I have tons of fun in it!

This is me practicing in the tub.

It is very different than my last tub. I didn't know what to think at first.

It didn't take long for me to figure it out. After a bit, Mom couldn't get my attention anymore. I was too busy playing with my toys.

Not stuck anymore!

On Saturday morning, about 4 hours before I had my last blog scheduled to post, I got a text at work...... Courtney was crawling forward! We recreated the scene that night so that I could see her crawl too. Joe's safety glasses are great motivation for one little girl!

Stuck

Courtney cannot figure out how to crawl forwards. She can definitely crawl backwards, but she gets stuck!

Ok, maybe Daddy helped her into this last one.....

Through the night.

We are officially trying to get Courtney to sleep through the night. We probably should have done this a month ago, but as you all know time flies. Last night was the first night we attempted it. She went to bed very well at 9PM and like clockwork woke up at 12:30AM. I proceeded to go in, pat her back and leave. The second I stopped touching her, screaming ensued! I let her go for 5 minutes, went in and patted her back, left, and again the screaming. I waited 6 minutes... same thing... but after this time, around the 4 minute mark she was quite and I could hear her sucking her thumb. Success! She fell asleep and didn't wake up until 7AM. I hope that we make progress every night and in the end it will be worth the stress!

From crawling backwards to sitting...

Courtney learned a new move this week.

6 months

Courtney turned 6 months and we celebrated at Nicole's 30th Birthday party. Here are the JUGs girls!

We also celebrated with a Dairy Queen cake.

Notice the saying..... He decided that since Courtney was 6 months old that it was time to celebrate Mother's day as well! I'm pretty sure he just wanted a Dairy Queen cake. It sure was yummy. Thanks Brian!


Courtney was also excited for the cake... at least to play with it. In this picture I am licking the frosting off her fingers.

Making baby food

Since Courtney was doing so well with her rice cereal, we are slowly introducing other types of food. So has begun the making of the baby food! Here is my first batch of baby food; sweet potatoes. Thanks for the baby food book Becky!

Baked (or microwaved) sweet potato.

Then into her mouth! This is the container after she got done eating.
She loved them!We have also tried squash which she liked. Bananas were not as popular. On Saturday we get to try pears!

Visit with Santa

Courtney had her first visit with Santa. I don't think that she actually told him what she wanted for Christmas, but she surely received lots of presents!
